TAE CROWDER - 2020

Tae Crowder was drafted by the New York Giants with the final pick, No. 255, to become Mr. Irrelevant XLV in the historic 2020 NFL Draft. Crowder, an inside linebacker from the University of Georgia standing at 6-foot-3, 245 pounds, started all 14 games in his last season for the Bulldogs. He was second on the team with 62 total tackles. He was also one of 12 semifinalists for the Dick Butkus Award given to the best linebacker in college football.

Crowder played in 11 games, starting six, as a rookie. He had worked his way into the starting lineup by Week 5, but missed four midseason games due to a hamstring injury suffered on his game-winning scoop-and-score touchdown in Week 6.

Crowder ended up with 57 tackles, 34 solo. He also ended up with more playing time than Cam Brown, Carter Coughlin and T.J. Brunson — linebackers the Giants selected ahead of him in the draft.
